100 Miles in 2012

We’ve Hit the Trail……Hiking

When we sat down to plan out our goals for 2012 we touched on various areas of our life. When it got down to Physical Health and Wellness we made changes to our eating habits, and added a few outdoor recreation goals, one of which we decided to log 100 trail miles this calendar year.

We wanted to share with our readers how are progress is going and hope that you too will set a goal or two this year to get outside more and explore your own backyards, or someone else’s. Every so often we’ll write a trip report about some of the mileage we’ve logged, post some photos, and hopefully add some videos to this blog and on Facebook as well.

Check out the Facebook album (and like us while you are there!)

So join us on our adventures, track our progress and watch us hit (hopefully!) the century mark this year. So until next time…. see you on the trail.

  1. Why didn’t you tell me you had a blog? You need to teach me how you made this so cool. 🙂

    • We’ll have to connect soon. It’s been quite the process of learning! Maybe you can teach me why my profile picture refuses to show up when I comment. 🙂 You seem to have that part mastered!

  2. Love your blog! So inspiring. We’re excited to see how the rest of the 100 miles goes!

We’d love to see some of your favorite hikes up on our recess page: recess.keenfootwear.com/get-high. Recess is a rallying cry for adults and kids alike to take a break from the daily grind, get outside and create their own playground. Thanks for your input and expertise!

    Best,
    KEEN Recess Team

    • Thank you for the blog love! We love your products! Just put a new pair on our son’s feet this year and he loves them, I’ll be getting mine soon.

We’d love to share some of our favorites on your recess page, we think it’s a terrific initiative. My wife went to the recess in Minneapolis it was a great event.

      Thank for Reading,

      Jayson

  3. Dear Jayson,

Thanks so much for your kind response and for adding your favorite hikes. We’re so glad your wife got to attend one of our events. Which type of shoe are you considering?

    Have a fun summer!

    • I’ll be getting a pair of the Men’s Newport H2 sandals. I prefer them over other alternatives because of the covered toe box (because of my disability my feet don’t also lift which causes my toes to drag and stub often) that’ll keep my toes protected. Also need a quick drying sandal for those hot summer hikes and playtime in the rivers and waterfalls. I need a sturdy, durable, comfortable, and supportive hiking sandal and Keen has just that.

      Thanks Again,

      Jayson

  4. We’re so glad you found a sandal that will keep you protected and let you have fun exploring! We can’t wait to hear about your next adventure.

    Thanks for your support,
    KEEN Recess Team
